The Photographer

Who is Shannon Sasaki:

I’m a local girl, born and raised on the beautiful island of Oahu (Kaimuki girl). My journey with photography began in high school, where I fell madly in love with the art of black-and-white film photography, developing my own images in a darkroom. Over the years, I explored different areas of photography, but everything changed when I was invited to second-shoot a wedding. That day sparked a passion I couldn’t ignore, and I knew instantly that this was what I was meant to do.  Capturing timeless memories for people to cherish for a lifetime brings me so much joy. There's nothing more fulfilling than capturing life's most meaningful moments and preserving them through my lens.

I currently split my time between two places—Hawaii and the Bay Area.  Life’s taken me on an unexpected but beautiful journey between both states. My wife—my partner of 12 years—works at Pixar Animation Studios, and we’ve built a life that flows between islands and coastlines. Because of that, I’m able to take on work in both places. So Bay Area couples, I see you. Let’s make magic. 

 *Halloween is my all time favorite holiday! Exploring every haunted house around the world is a goal of mine.

*Music and concerts are my biggest escape. I love to dance and get lost in some good beats!
