Who is Shannon Sasaki:

I’m a local girl, born and raised on the beautiful island of Oahu (Kaimuki girl). My journey with photography began in high school, where I fell madly in love with the art of black-and-white film photography, developing my own images in a darkroom. Over the years, I explored different areas of photography, but everything changed when I was invited to second-shoot a wedding. That day sparked a passion I couldn’t ignore, and I knew instantly that this was what I was meant to do. Capturing timeless memories for people to cherish for a lifetime brings me so much joy. There’s nothing more fulfilling than capturing life’s most meaningful moments and preserving them through my lens—where art and love meet, creating imagery that feels true, intentional, and uniquely you.

I currently split my time between two places—Hawaii and the Bay Area. Life’s taken me on an unexpected but beautiful journey between both states. My wife—my partner of 13 years (Born/Raised Maui girl)—works at Pixar Animation Studios, and we’ve built a life that flows between islands and coastlines. • Halloween is my all time favorite holiday!

• I've traveled to 13 different countries and 14 different states and I can't wait to explore more of this beautiful world.

• Music and concerts are my biggest escape. Music is something you're never too old for.
